A handful of pop

For my second post I made a selection of various indie pop and folk songs.
二番目に紹介するのはさまざまなPOPとFOLKの曲になります。

Tokumaru Shugo is probably one of the most famous indie bands outside Japan. I suspect it is even more famous outside than inside the country, probably due to the fact his label is American. Listen to this multi-intrumentalist genius who composes and records everything in his music.
「トクマルシューゴ」はおそらく海外で一番有名な日本のインディーズバンドかもしれません。レコードはアメリカのレーベルから出ているから、「トクマルシューゴ」は日本より海外で有名ではないかと思っています。このマルチに楽器を使いこなすアーティストの楽曲をぜひ聴いてください！

The Tenniscoats is a japanese indie duo, made of Saya and Takashi Ueno, with a very nice sound and several collaborations. Bellow is an international one with The Pastels.
「テニスコーツ」は「さや」と「植野隆司」のデュオです。ほかのアーティストとの共作も多くあります。下記はThePastelsとのコラボレーションアルバムです。

Clammbon is another indie band which sounds pretty good.
また「クランボン」もすばらしいインディズバンドです。雰囲気は欧米っぽい感じがするバンドと思っています。

Nagisa Ni Te (meaning “on the beach”) is a calm folk band which has been around since the 1990s.
「渚にて」は静かなフォーク音楽。このバンドは１９９０年代から活躍しています。

Another pop/folk experimental singer is Salyu, which in her latest album reminds me a bit of Bjork’s vocal album (Medulla).
またPOPでフォークな歌手、サリュです。この最新のアルバムを聴くとBjorkのMedullaというアルバムを思い出させます。
